Every second Sunday in May, we remember those to whom we owe everything and can show them how important they are to us: our mothers – on Mother's Day. This day is dedicated to our personal superheroes. They may not have a cape, but they do have superpowers.

When did we start celebrating Mother's Day?
The holiday originated from the women's movements in America and its founder, Anna Maria Jarvis. On May 12, 1907, the Sunday after the second anniversary of her own mother's death, she called for all mothers to be honored and thanked on "Mother's Memorial Day." Year by year, the celebration spread rapidly across the USA and reached Europe in 1912. In Germany, Mother's Day was established in 1923 by the Association of German Florists to boost the economy and address the low birth rate.
We are grateful to dedicate this day entirely to all moms, wives, grandmas, or other superwomen who are always there for us and give us unconditional love. Whether with a hand-painted picture, a nice breakfast, a special bouquet, or an extraordinary gift.
